Episode 2-22: The Gift of Prophecy, Alive or Dead, True or False? Part 1
Welcome back! I am your host Dawn Simmons and in this episode of Conquering Our Unseen Enemies we are going to be discussing prophecy. Is the gift of prophecy alive today or dead? Is it true or false? This spiritual gift is one of the most misunderstood Spiritual Gifts and unfortunately one of the most misused, even abused gifts used to deceive the undiscerning.
In order to discuss all of the elements we need to cover; I want to first walk through an understanding of prophecy. Prophecy is one of the nine spiritual gifts Paul refers to in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. To truly understand it, we need to understand what it is, what it isn’t, who has the gift, what is the gift versus the office, how is the gift to be used and finally the misuse of the gift. That, my friends, is a lot to cover and we will not get through this in one episode, so get comfy and let’s get started understanding this wonderful gift that is still in operation today.
